Rutilated Quartz is dressed in golden yellow “needles” or hair-like growths throughout the Quartz. These golden needle-like strands are the Rutile, a titanium dioxide mineral with large iron oxide quantities. It is similar to Tourmalinated Quartz which is named so, for having Tourmaline needles within a Quartz.
